Packaging for Precision HMI Products
We arrange protective packaging for SIMATIC HMI products, selecting the protection to suit each model, its dimensions and weight, and the transport conditions. We protect sensitive parts, secure the product inside the package and prepare it for the agreed delivery route.
Protective Packing Examples
Closed shielding bags protect sensitive electronic accessories before outer cushioning is added.
Fitted supports carry the housing, while cables stay in a separate compartment during packing.
- Touchscreen Panels
- We cushion Basic, Unified Basic, Comfort and Unified Comfort Panels around the housing and corners to keep pressure off the display. We select electrostatic discharge (ESD) protection for sensitive electronic parts where required, and position the supports so connectors do not carry the packing load.
- Mobile Panels
- We secure Mobile Panels against movement while leaving space around their controls. We pack supplied cables and connection accessories separately to keep them away from the display, and arrange cables to avoid tight bends or tension at the connectors.
- Key & Legacy Operator Panels
- We protect keys, display windows and protruding controls from direct pressure. We retain suitable original packaging when available. Where replacement packing is needed, we fit the supports to the housing without pressing on the front operating surface.
- HMI Accessories
- We keep mounting hardware separate from displays and electronic parts. We use suitable static-shielding packaging for sensitive modules or memory media, with cushioning outside it. We protect connectors individually and label accessory packs to make order quantities easier to check.
- WinCC Software
- We confirm whether the ordered WinCC or WinCC Unified item is supplied electronically or as physical media. For physical deliveries, we protect the supplied storage media and keep licence documents with the correct order. Electronic delivery does not require a shipping carton.
Protection Throughout the Journey
Moisture & Temperature
We select outer protection for the delivery route and follow the product instructions for moisture protection. Where needed, we include a suitable moisture barrier and desiccant. After receiving a cold shipment in a warmer room, please allow the device to acclimatise and any condensation to dry completely before powering it on.
Cushioning & Outer Packaging
We limit movement inside the carton and use cushioning to reduce transport shocks and vibration. We select outer packaging for the packed dimensions, weight and handling conditions, adding reinforcement, another outer box or pallet support where needed. We keep heavy components from resting on panels or fragile parts.
Arrival Checks
We help review concerns about the shipment when it arrives. Please check the carton, product and accessories on receipt. If you find damage, retain the packaging and send us photos and the order details before installation so we can review the issue with you.
